
Born in 1975, he took his undergraduate degree in the Geodetic Engineering Department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). A year earlier, he had studied at Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Received a postgraduate scholarship from the Center for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and The Pacific (CSSTEAP) - Affiliated to the United Nations (the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs / UN-OOSA) to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma (PG.Dipl) in geosciences and a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in geo-engineering. He continued his PhD studies at the University of Nottingham, UK in the field of space geodesy. The professional title of Engineer (Ir) was obtained after completing the Professional Engineer Program at the Department of Geodetic and Geomatics Engineering, ITB.
Starting his professional career as a civil servant at the National Survey and Mapping Coordinating Agency (Bakosurtanal) since 2002 which later changed its name to the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) since 2011 along with the enactment of Law No. 4 of 2011 concerning Geospatial Information. Various structural and functional positions that have been held are as a researcher in the field of Geomatics Engineering (2009-2011), Head of the Toponymy Division (2017-2019), Head of the Small and Medium Scale Topographic Mapping Division (2019-2020), Coordinator of Geospatial Data Processing and Topographic Information (2020-2024), Middle Expert Mapping Surveyor (2024-2025). Outside of the mandate of responsibility as a structural and functional official, he is also always entrusted with special duties and responsibilities to handle large-scale basic mapping.
The national award of Satyalancana Karya Satya 10 Years was obtained in 2014 and Satyalancana Karya Satya 20 Years in 2024. And on February 19, 2025, he was inaugurated by the Head of the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) as Director of the Geospatial Reference System.
