Strengthening Integrated Salt Industry Research


The Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) joins the Integrated Salt Industry National Research Priority Consortium, which is coordinated by the Technology Assessment and Application Agency (BPPT).

Besides BIG, joining the consortium are the Director-General of Sea Space Management of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), the Industry Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Industry, Brawijaya University, Airlangga University, PT Garam, and PT Indonesia Power.

The National Integrated Salt Industry Research became one of the five national research priorities in the 2020-20204 period coordinated by BPPT. The Consortium of the National Integrated Salt Industry Research itself aims to be able to increase the production capacity of the National Salt, which has been one of the crucial commodities in the community.

"BPPT is very grateful to all parties, for this collaboration and integration, National Research Priority activities in the field of Salt can be carried out," said Head of BPPT Hammam Riza.
